Stainless Steel Bar Material properties

Commonly used stainless steel material properties and uses Commonly used stainless steel material performance and use are as follows:

316 stainless steel: corrosion resistance and high temperature strength is particularly good, can be used under harsh conditions, good work hardening, non-magnetic. Suitable for marine water equipment, chemical, dyes, paper, oxalic acid, fertilizer production equipment, photography, food industry, coastal facilities, etc. 316L stainless steel: steel added Mo (2-3%), corrosion resistance and high temperature strength; SUS316L Carbon content than SUS316 low, therefore, anti-intergranular corrosion than SUS316 excellent; high temperature creep strength. Can be used in harsh conditions, good work hardening, non-magnetic. Suitable for marine water equipment, chemical, dyes, paper, oxalic acid, fertilizer production equipment, photography, food industry, coastal facilities. 304 stainless steel stainless steel: a good corrosion resistance, heat resistance, low temperature strength and mechanical properties, stamping bending and other hot workability, no heat treatment hardening phenomenon, non-magnetic. Widely used in household goods (1,2 class tableware), cabinets, indoor pipelines, water heaters, boilers, bathtubs, auto parts, medical equipment, building materials, chemical, food industry, agriculture, ship parts.

304L stainless steel: is a low carbon content of 304 stainless steel variants, for the need for welding occasions. The lower carbon content minimizes the amount of carbides that are precipitated in the heat affected zone near the weld, and the precipitation of carbides can cause intergranular corrosion (weld erosion) in certain environments. The use of the most extensive; excellent corrosion resistance and heat resistance; low temperature strength and excellent mechanical properties; single-phase austenite, no heat treatment hardening (non-magnetic, the use of temperature -196--800 ℃). 304Cu stainless steel: 17Cr-7Ni-2Cu as the basic composition of the Austenitic stainless steel; excellent shape, especially the wire and anti-aging crack resistance; corrosion resistance and 304 the same. 303 stainless steel and 303Se stainless steel: is easy to cut stainless steel containing sulfur and selenium, for the main requirements of easy cutting and table and the high degree of light ho. 303Se stainless steel is also used to make the need for hot forging parts, because under such conditions, this stainless steel has a good hot workability. 309 stainless steel, 310 stainless steel, 314 stainless steel: nickel, chromium content are relatively high, in order to improve the steel at high temperature oxidation resistance and creep strength. The 309S and 310S are 309 and 310 stainless steel variants, the difference is only low carbon content, in order to weld near the weld to minimize the carbide.
